The Making Of.
A lot goes into the making of a snowboard company. There are so many stories of small independent companies who couldn’t get their act together. Also there are many stories of big sports corps who’s “Snowboard Division” made it into the Financial Times, but never made it to the mountain.
When Blax (the small independent) merged with HEAD (the big sports corp) in 2000, we knew the most important thing was to do the right things with the right people. Today, the original crew is still intact, the team has grown, and our gear is more advanced than ever before.
A success story? That’s for you to decide. Fact is, there’s always been a whole lot of momentum behind HEAD Snowboards. And it continues to grow.
Philosophy
HEAD Snowboards is all about people, innovative and high quality products. Working with our pro riders and the H-Team to gather insights about what snowboarders really need. Working with engineers and partners in production to find out how we can really tackle that next step in technology. And working with retailers and snowboard schools to make sure our knowledge is really passed on to those who ride.
It’s what we call the intelligence loop: Passion from riding meets Technology making a product that rides better. So while we don’t say we’re more intelligent than others, we certainly keep working on it.
